Balebetje Makua is passionate young individual who believes in transformation and that only through the collaborative efforts of different individuals with diverse backgrounds and skillsets we can create sustainable and relevant solutions to the world’s current complex problems. It is with this philosophy that she co-founded ORI Professionals, for which she still serves as the CEO. Under her leadership, the entity developed from solving simple financial problems to solving complex multi-faceted problems utilising skills ranging from law, science and social sciences to engineering.
She believes that no two problems can be approached in the same manner and that humility and service are the centre of ensuring that each solution should leave its recipient viewing themselves differently.
Beyond moving ORI Professionals from being a start-up to working on one of the most impactful and important projects in the country, she has piloted an outreach programme at one of the major SA universities. She believes that academic success is not only about technical ability but also about ensuring that holistically you are mentally fit to handle all the challenges posed by university.
