Bright Mhazo is an intrapreneur at heart who has always dreamed of innovating and developing an organisation from the ground up.
He joined Quick Consols, a financial reporting SaaS platform where he currently serves as director, at the market launch in 2019. His significant contribution to the platform’s development and customer base has propelled the local start-up to a fast-growing company with clients over 40 group entities totalling over 340 companies in Africa, the USA, Australia and the UK. Before joining Quick Consols, he was an audit manager at a big four accounting firm (PwC) and before that, he had worked abroad in the British Virgin Islands at BDO.
He is also a co-founder and non-executive member of Diaspora Meds, a medical insurance solution for Zimbabwean immigrants worried about their loved ones back home accessing uncompromised private health care launched in 2020. He has contributed to developing a tailor-made product that acquired over 200 clients in the first year of operation.
Bright comes from a humble background. To give back, he started a programme where he mentors and financially assists selected boys from his former high school who share similar dreams and whose families are economically disadvantaged.
