Founder/Director at Prinsloo Properties & Find My Leak

Jochemus (JJ) Prinsloo is a young, energetic entrepreneur with experience in both the property and financial sectors. He is passionate about making a difference in his community and uses his skills and qualifications as a CA(SA) to support his own and other small businesses in the Western Cape to reach their financial goals.

After achieving a top 10 position in his honours class at the University of Stellenbosch, he continued to complete his articles at PwC, being selected as one of the top clerks at the firm.

During this time he started his entrepreneurial career through Network Marketing at the age of 21. Working relentlessly after hours and weekends, he managed to build a substantial business that supports malnourished children in South Africa. He managed to impact over 500 children through this project and won six incentive awards. He was a keynote speaker at numerous trainings and events sharing his story and inspiring others to do the same.

He bought his first investment property at the age of 28 and started Prinsloo Properties, a property investment company that offers affordable housing in previously disadvantaged communities. Over the past five years, this company has provided housing for over 18 families at cost-effective rates. Additionally, Jochemus is currently authoring a book on building a successful multi-let property business in South Africa.

Furthermore, he is the co-owner and financial director of Find My Leak, a company that specialises in leak detection. Since he became involved, they have managed to double their monthly income. He also serves as a consultant and director to a few start-ups and his skills have been instrumental in assisting numerous small businesses in achieving their financial and revenue goals. He has helped one of these companies to reach revenue in excess of R30 million.

On a more personal note: being a type-1 diabetic, Jochemus had to overcome certain obstacles from a young age, which has prepared him for a time like this. He is passionate about health and wellness and his story is one of inspiration. He has finished the Trans Baviaans − termed the toughest single-stage mountain bike race in the world − and has competed in several CrossFit competitions. He wants to show others that there are no limitations that can hold you back, only your mindset. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three young boys.
